GuzMo Animations
GuzMo Animations is a Melbourne-based animations company, run by three artists and entrepreneurs, Pradip, Andrian, and Bill. They design animations for clients using open sourcesoftware. Their clients include a wide range of businesses and organisations, from advertising and media companies, to boutiques, museums, music venues, and artists.
Over the last couple of years, the client base has grown, and the company wants to have an online catalogue of curated works, with links to animation clips on either YouTube or Vimeo. The online system also needs to include features that allow clients or potential clients to interact with the owners for engagement with a particular animation clip being designed as per contract. If the client is interested in the company developing an animation clip, they undergo a consultation period, in which GuzMo shows them sample clips of animations previously developed. This allows the clients to state what they liked about the clip, and what they would like to see developed for their own clips. Once a contract is drawn to have an animation clip done, an online space is created for collaborative purposes by GuzMo. Through this space, clients can detail their requirements for the animation and provide feedback or comments on draft versions. In order to be able to engage in this space, the clients will need to register and are given a login and password to access this collaborative space, also known as the projectspace.
Once a draft version is created, it is uploaded onto the project space for the client to peruse and provide feedback. Based on the feedback, subsequent phases of project work are carried out, in which refinements to the animation clip are made. Once they client is satisfied with the work, the animation is packaged for the client. Please note that the work also includes audio that accompany the moving imagery. The audio is sourced by GuzMo, or it might be provided by the client. As per contract, the animation product can be displayed in movie theatres, TV broadcasts, billboards (displaying moving images), or uploaded onto YouTube or Vimeo. GuzMo also offers versions catered for social media platforms. Thus, the client is offered the animation clip in various formats as per contract. However, formats for movie theatres and TV broadcasts are relatively more expensive.

Clients pay an advance of 15% after the pilot phase (first draft) of the project, and the remaining amount is paid once the work is finalized. Payment is done either through bank transfer, card, Paypal, or bitcoins. For contracts exceeding AUD $500, bank transfers are used to effect payments.
The GuzMo website will include the blog (the homepage), the catalogue of curated works, links to artist biographies (the owners), links to detailed descriptions about the works, registration page, project spaces, and a payment page. Actual details about the requirement specifications for the website to be collected through a series of interviews with the owners. Some of the requirements voiced by the owners may be inconsistent or contradictory. It is your job as the Business Analyst team to collect these conflicting (and at times, ambiguous) requirements, reconcile them, and consolidate them. Each sprint involves one set of interviews with each of the three owners (i.e. three interviews for each sprint). The interviews may be conducted either face-to-face or via email.
