The second will inform me of feedback you will obtain from others. The third will be is your improvement plan.
1. Assess yourself first. Using ONLY the Communication Style Assessment you completed in class, identify your preferred communication style. Name the style and summarize what you think your strengths and weaknesses are in the context of your communication style behaviors. Create a digital graph and plot the approximate location of your style on the graph.
2. Next, request feedback from others. Give a separate BLANK copy of the Communication Style Assessment to two people who know you reasonably well. Have them fill out the assessment on your behalf. Identify the style they chose for you. Ask them for specific feedback on you communication style. Summarize, in their words, what they think your strengths and weaknesses are, in the context of your communication style behaviors. Plot the style they identified for you on the same graph you created above.
3. Based on your assessment and the feedback from others, summarize how you intend on improving your communication style behaviors. How can you flex your style to help build better relationships? What steps are you prepared to take to reduce communication style bias? Or flex your style to better meet the needs of your audience or a particular situation.
4. Make sure your message is concise, clear, and error-free. 5. Submission guidelines must follow APA formatting but with the following exceptions: Use Times New Roman Font size: 10 or 11 Line space 1.15 No paragraph indents Name your file: First Name Cultural Intelligence 6. Assignment must be two typed pages, mandatory word count of approximately 600 words. 7. Use bullets for key summary points but do not use them to replace your body text. 8. Proofread for correct grammar, punctuation, syntax, and English language usage. 9. Review the rubric. 10. Submit the finished email to the drop box labeled, Cultural Intelligence Essay.
