You are required to prepare a 15-minutes case-study-based presentation on an organisation operating in New Zealand based on the guideline outlined below. A maximum of 5 minutes extra time will be given to the audience to ask you some questions. In choosing an organisation, refer to list of New Zealand organisations stated on page 6.
The case-study-based presentation requires that you present various aspects of your case-study to the class using primary and secondary data, or combination of both. In order for you to undertake that, you will have to conceptualise each section carefully and briefly write-up your case-study for clarity. You will need to discuss various aspects of the case study outlined in the presentation structure below, and slice up the case in a logical way. During this development stage/process, your Lecturer/Tutor will monitor your progress closely during the tutorial sessions in class. You will also be required to bring all your draft work, reading materials and other resources to demonstrate and justify your progress to your Lecturer/Tutor. In developing your case-study-based presentation, the reading and note-making strategies listed on pages 7 and 8 will be useful for you.
Your answers should be based on factual analysis, using authentic academic resources, journal papers, company reports and relevant articles from major newspapers. You are required to provide in-text citations and a reference list towards the end of the presentation, using the APA format (6th edition). For a thorough guide in preparing a case-study-based presentation, refer to guidelines provided on pages 9 to 13.
There will be TWO adjudicators/assessors, judging your presentation. The marks will be combined and divided by two. Your presentation must include the following aspects.
