Inquiry Plan An inquiry plan addressing a topic into which you would like to inquire in your classroom or other teaching context will be the final assignment for this course. You will revise and add to each of the four writing activities that comprise the works in progress assignment, based on instructor feedback and response from classmates. In this inquiry plan you will include a description of your inquiry topic and why you chose it, your context, and the purpose of your study, a literature review of at least three articles (six for partners), a description of your data collection procedures (include three methods), including one developed data collection tool, your plans for data analysis, and ethical considerations of your inquiry. This paper should be well edited, organized and easy to read. The use of appropriate headings throughout the paper is highly recommended. This assignment is to made under the following guidelines, which is the draft work to be submitted each day (4 days), which would culminate to be the final assignment (Inquiry Plan):- Each paper is due by 8pm (AST), via email, on the day it is due. ? DAY 1: The topic of this piece is based on the two inquiry passions exercises you have chosen, and should lead into your ideas about your emerging inquiry topic idea. Otherwise stated: What is your wondering? Why has it caught your interest? How does it connect to your practice? ? DAY 2: The topic today is a small review of three relevant, peer-reviewed articles related to your inquiry topic. Include your completed comparison chart and a paragraph or two about what you learned from this beginning literature review and how these ideas might connect to your inquiry plan. ? DAY 3: Todays topic is developing your data collection plan. Consider how you could use observation, interviews, documents (such as student work samples), or other methods to gather information for your inquiry. As well, write a paragraph about areas you will need to be mindful of in terms of ethics (in the three areas of permission, confidentiality, and power relations). ? DAY 4: The topic for this final piece is the development of a data collection tool. This could be a survey/interview guide/observation record sheet (see the Pappas & Raymond reading), or other data gathering instrument. Then, briefly describe your data analysis and representation ideas, connected to your data collection plans. On the second day of the course, we will form works in progress groups where your thinking and writing will be shared daily and responded to by group members. As well, you will receive daily individual feedback from the course instructor. It is anticipated that you will re-work each of your four pieces based on this feedback and weave them into your final draft of your inquiry plan. I can send you the Exemplar. The topic we have to decide together. If u need more time then at least DAY 1 work would be required on 19 July and the balance can be completed on the following two days.
