of adjustment. The current study intends to conduct an inductive examination of the
cultural asymmetry phenomenon, and explore how cultural asymmetry could
potentially affect adjustment outcomes. When the adjustment challenges differ based
on cultural asymmetry, the importance of CQ and role position for CCA might also vary
based on asymmetry. In other words, it is speculated that the potential moderating
effects of asymmetry might exist in the relationships between adjustment and
individual-level CQ, and adjustment and organizational-level factor, role position.
Specifically, the research questions for the current study are:
RQ1. To what extent does cultural asymmetry moderate the CQ and CCA
relationships?
RQ2. To what extent does cultural asymmetry moderate the relationships between
role positions and CCA?
