Theatre class final paper | English homework help

The final assignment for the quarter is to submit a 3-5 page (double-spaced, 11 point or smaller font) paper describing your journey as a theatergoer through the course of this term. This is an opportunity for you to use elements from all of the productions we’ve seen so far to discuss your own interests, likes and dislikes when it comes to live theater based on what you’ve seen. Some simple guidelines:

-Be sure to discuss what you like and dislike about EACH of the three areas of theater we’ve discussed (script/direction/performance, design/production, audience experience), based on specific instances from one or more of the productions we saw.

-Be sure to cover any major changes in your likes/dislikes (when it comes to theater) that have occurred over the course of the term. What has changed about you as a “theatergoer”? Why have those changes happened?

-Discuss briefly how much theater you’d seen when the quarter started, and talk about what kind of theatergoer you expect to be in the future. Please note: “I learned that I don’t much care for live theater and I probably won’t see many more plays in the future” is a totally valid response to this question, as long as you’re willing to back it up with specific instances from the shows we’ve seen this term that have made you not want to see more plays.
