LLama LLama mad at mama talks about emotions. LLama goes to the grocery store with his mom, where he throws a tantrum because it was taking too long and he was losing his patience. Mom quickly takes control of the situation and starts talking nice things to him to put him at ease, emphasizing on positive discipline. This book contains funny rhymes that will make readers of all ages laugh.

Millie Fierce talks about a little girl that was unnoticed by her classmates. One day tired of being unseen by her peers, she decided to transform into a fierce little girl. Soon she realized that she was beginning to be mean and that it wasn’t worth it to be seen like that, so she decided to be nice. The book emphasizes the importance of allowing children to express their feelings, whether it be excitement, frustration, or determination. The book talks about emotions, friendships, and the importance of being true to oneself, contributing to their overall social and emotional development.

The color monster talks about the six main emotions. Each emotion is represented by a color. This book helps children to identify and learn about their emotions in a fun and interactive way. The vibrant colors and the expressive illustrations of the book makes it more visually attractive to children. The book also encourages children to express their feelings and communicate them with others, promoting a healthy emotional development and showing that there is no problem or shame in showing their emotions.

Goodnight moon is a bedtime story that helps children fall asleep thankful to his rhythmic repetition. Before going to sleep the young rabbit says goodbye to everything, from objects in his bedroom to the moon. The gentle and rhythmic text combined with the warm and comforting illustrations creates a tranquil atmosphere, making it an ideal bedtime story. The narrative gradually winds down, creating a sense of relaxation for the children.

The three little pigs talk about how the best things take time to build. The third pig’s effort to build a strong brick house contrasts with the quicker, less secure constructions of the first two pigs. The consequences of the pigs’ choices in building materials highlight the importance of decision-making and the impact it can have.

Goldilocks’ decision to enter the bears’ house and explore their belongings reflects the natural curiosity and explorative behavior often observed in children. Children are known for their desire to understand the world around them and to engage in new experiences. The book teaches about sizes and numbers, as they always say “the little”, the “medium” and “big”. Also, Children really like and identify with Goldilocks characters.

The story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar follows the journey of a tiny caterpillar as it eats its way through a variety of foods before undergoing a transformation into a beautiful butterfly.The book introduces basic counting skills as the caterpillar eats different numbers of food each day. It also incorporates the concept of days of the week, providing an educational element for young readers. For younger children, the book’s interactive features, such as the holes in the pages representing the caterpillar’s bites, encourage fine motor skills as they turn the pages and engage with the tactile elements.

The book Brown bear, Brown Bear what do you see, features vibrant illustrations of animals in various colors. It provides an engaging way for young children to learn and recognize different colors as they follow the characters throughout the story. The repetitive structure of the book, where each page follows a similar pattern of asking, “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, what do you see?” and introducing a new animal, helps children develop pattern recognition skills. This repetition also contributes to language development. The book invites children to actively participate by answering the repeated question, “What do you see?” This interaction promotes engagement and encourages children to express themselves verbally. Its combination of colors, patterns, repetition, and interactive elements makes it very engaging for children.

The wonderful things you will be, celebrates the individuality of each child and emphasizes the acceptance of different qualities and personalities. It encourages children to embrace their uniqueness and appreciate the diversity of others. The book sparks children’s imaginations and encourages them to dream about the possibilities of who they might become. It fosters a sense of creativity and open-mindedness. The book explores a range of emotions and feelings that children may experience as they grow. It provides an opportunity for discussions about emotions, helping children recognize and express their feelings in a positive way.

The book The skin you live in, talks about the diversity of skin colors and promotes an inclusive perspective. It encourages children to appreciate and respect differences in skin tones, fostering a sense of inclusivity and acceptance. The book acknowledges various cultural backgrounds and ethnicities, creating an opportunity for discussions about cultural diversity and helping children become more culturally aware. The book’s rhyming text and rhythmic language contribute to language development in young readers.

I think that disgusting emotions are always a valuable thing. Emotional development is an important mark on child development. It is crucial for children to know and recognize each emotion because it helps being an adult emotionally stable. “ One of the best ways to build children’s social and emotional skills is through enhancing their language and communication. Research supports that talking to children about emotions is one of the main predictors of

emotional competence
—how children learn to express and control their emotions and recognize the emotions in others.” By discussing emotions, children develop problem-solving skills. They learn to identify the causes of their feelings and explore constructive ways to cope with challenges or conflicts. Furthermore, talking about emotions provides an opportunity to explore and develop coping strategies. Children can learn various ways to manage stress, frustration, or sadness, contributing to their overall well-being.

Encouraging children to talk about their emotions creates a supportive and open environment where they feel valued and understood. It also helps children to recognize when they are having a hard time because when they share their emotions, like, I am frustrated, the adult will be able to help him find ways to manage his frustration.
