Question:
Client: Rebecca
Rebecca is 26 and works as a nurse at a busy metropolitan hospital. Working on rotating shifts across the month leaves little time for her to catch up with friends and socialise. Depending on the roster her shifts include mornings (6am-3pm), afternoons (2pm-10pm) or overnights (9pm-7am). She is currently completing additional study to upskill in critical care nursing. A few colleagues are also completing the training which has helped her adjust to the challenging content but at times juggling these demands has been stressful. In a typical week Rebecca enjoys attending Pilates and group based cardio classes including boxing at the hospital gym. She also enjoys social sports and participates in tennis and basketball competitions run at her local recreation centre.
As a result, Rebecca has always considered herself as fit and healthy and this is an important part of her self-identity. Rebecca recently married her long-term partner, and they have just found out she is pregnant for the first time (currently 16 weeks). While she is excited to be pregnant, she has some concerns about how theyll manage without much family support around. Their extended family live over 3 hours away so are not able to visit often. Her husband has brushed this off as first time nerves, but Rebecca is worried about how shell adjust.
She would like more information about how she can safely stay active during her pregnancy and through the first 6 months of being a new mum until she returns to work.

To do this consider:
the clients development across all three domains (physical, cognitive, psychosocial)
Identify the stage or phase your client is progressing through for each domain.
Using what you know of the relevant theory apply this knowledge to the scenario and justify your choice of theory relative to your client.
What evidence do you have to demonstrate they have met the preceding stage or to demonstrate they are working through the next stage?]
