In this assignment, you will begin by performing a Job Analysis and then you will develop a Job Description and a Person (Job) Specification. The importance of this assignment will help you to understand and use some tools available for talent management planning.
Important: Prior to doing this part of the assignment, please watch the video “Explaining the Job Description and the Job Specification – Jim’s Dilemma” as well as the tours of the BLS and O*NET. (See the Week Two folder under the Videos button).
You are an HR professional for a large hospital with locations throughout Broward County. You have been asked to do a job analysis for a full-time Physician Assistantposition that will be working in your organization (This is a full-time employee, not a freelance position.). As you do not have the luxury of actually collecting primary data from inside, you will use secondary data collected from the BLS and the O*NET websites (see course videos).
Using the Physician Assistant at the hospital position proceed with the following questions:
