I find that using the Three Phases in Adult Mental Development may really help to improve his education in these new changes. For instance, the first phase, socialized mind, mentions that the person be a team player and seek direction. This would be the point where Bob may start asking questions, finding people who have already embraced these changes. Bob may want to go into their classroom and see the change happening first hand. The second phase, self authoring mind, allows the leader, in this case Bob, start to use what he has learned and use it within his classroom. He is becoming the leader in what he has learned. The next phase, self transforming mind, is the point where Bob has become the master in all the change. He is now the a master mind in teaching with technology, understanding that there is an importance in testing, and ensuring that not only are the students being taught the information that would be on the test but also other important things he may find needs to be taught. With using these three phases, Bob is now able to be comfortable with the idea that assessment is just as important as the other part of education that is being taught.
